Aileen didn’t know when her hair began to fall out. She lost her hair as soon as she started to remember.

Aileen said that her parents told me my hair stopped growing at seven months of age. “Then, all my thin, baby-like hair, including the fluff that had just sprouted, was shed within three months.” Aileen brushed her wig hair with her delicate, skinny hand, as she smiled at the camera.

After giving my head a thorough clean, my mom could see a thin layer on the water surface. Three months later, all my hair was gone. I was diagnosed with alopecia universalis. She smiled.

Aileen’s mom used to be often teary-eyed before she started preschool. It was because of her daughter’s hair loss.

She was worried about her daughter’s future. What is it with a young  American girl so beautiful and with a golden proportion? Is God making a joke of us?

Paid visits to many doctors, but nothing happened

The couple spent a lot of money over the years in hopes that their daughter would grow her hair back. They visited hundreds of specialists in USA, but nothing came up.

“I was the very first child in elementary school to travel around USA. I loved the trips that we took as a child. I was also admired by other children my age. She said that she can see now that my parents were not as relaxed on the trips.

“They kept their fingers crossed through the trips, wondering whether the next specialist would solve our problem.” Aileen lost herself in her thoughts.

“My family traveled around the UK as a nine-year-old. In London, we saw it all. Despite all this, my parents were still very anxious about the trip. They hoped that a powerful doctor would show up to fix my hair loss problem. But nothing came of it. We flew to USA. We didn’t get anything.”

Aileen had to turn to medical wigs and hairpieces

Aileen was a regular wearer of a beanie or hat before she started wearing wigs. Aileen, a hairless  American beauty, often imagined what it would be like to have her fingers run through thick, straight hair. How would it feel for her to be proudly displaying her long, waist-length hair as many girls do?

She smiled and said, “We tried medication, injections and a lot more, but nothing happened.” “We finally decided to try wigs. Wigs, my goodness! It was such a nightmare when I first tried wigs.

Aileen’s Nightmare – Old Wig Days

Aileen claims that the wigs she used in her past weren’t as great as those she wears today.

Although wigs made from natural hair were plentiful, few manufacturers could make bases thin enough to look like a real hairline. As Aileen walked down the street, people stared at her. People could see straight away that Aileen was wearing a hair-do.

Aileen’s wigs were not attached securely to her scalp like today’s.

Aileen said, “I tried on many wigs and was laughed at by my classmates who like to play pranks,” with a slight hesitation. “Some pulled my wig off, and they chased me around the sports field.”

Aileen was haunted by the humiliation she received from her classmates for a long time.

She used to walk for many years and when she heard someone approaching behind her, she would immediately look back to see who it was. She didn’t like the experience.

Aileen began basketball lessons after she started high school. Each class required jumping, running, and sprinting. Her wig would slip and get loose during these activities. Her wig fell again during one of her class sessions. Her mom called an emergency and took her to the toilet to rearrange her wig.

“My basketball coach was not too happy that my mother had to stop the class to redo mine. One of the cornermen was about to pass the ball to me, hoping I could score a three-point basket.” Although she didn’t seem too comfortable with the subject, she ended her statement with a firm tone. “Well, I don’t think those with hair would understand the feelings of those without.”

Aileen’s “Nitpicking”, became our Booster

She then reached LaviniaWigs. Aileen seemed like another  American woman with high expectations.

She wanted the knots to be as precise as possible when she ordered wigs. She wanted every knot to be bleached on each wig she ordered.

It was insane. The current wig-making technology could not bleach the lace-front stitches. This was explained to Aileen. She refused to accept it.

However, she insisted that all knots must be bleached. We also had to make sure the temples didn’t curl up, and the base wasn’t exposed when she wore her hair (her wig).

Lady, don’t be too fussy! We thought.

It is not necessary to pay too much attention to the back as the base of the hair is hidden when it is lowered at the back. Is it really boring to lift the hair of a woman and look into her scalp?

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to hear Aileen’s story about wigs. Aileen was correct. We may not understand and sympathize with people who have hair.

Our New Invention Inspired by Aileen’s Requirement

Our wig factory conducted an experiment upon Aileen’s request. The hair was tied to the mono-fine base with double-split braids. Double-split hair is small, strong, difficult to see, and easy to bleach. We were able to bleach the knots for Aileen with great success. We received a lot of orders using the new technique.

Aileen started her own wig business

Aileen is a blessing girl. As millions of children loved by their parents, Aileen received unconditional love and care from her parents from an early age to adulthood. She is now a confident, well-looking young woman.

Aileen has worn wigs all her life and is very familiar with wigs. Aileen is familiar with every step of wig production. She can also judge the quality and craftsmanship of most brands of wigs.

Many women who have lost their hair have sought her advice on how to choose the right wig. Aileen started her own wig company. Slowly, she began designing her own bases and testing various wig designs.

Aileen’s Ever Innovative Wig Business

Aileen is more than just a distributor of wigs and toupees. She has done it with passion. She has done amazing!

How do I make a wig that isn’t easily identifiable? How can I make sure the wig is as strong as possible so that it’s not easily removed by the kids?

These things are what make her passionate. After trying out many designs, she came up with an original idea. If the wig is comfortable on the wearer’s head then two elastic straps made specifically for the purpose would help it stay put.

She pays attention to every detail and strives for perfection. She picks the tiny clips for the wigs and even tests them.

Is the clip too tight for your head? Does it hold well enough to keep the wig attached? Are they easy to open or close? Are they safe for the nails? She invents and tests them all on her own.

Her  American business is doing extremely well. She is now considering expanding her business to the USA, opening chains of her brand in those countries.
